Fast, furious and unfunny--that's how this adult reviewer (granted, kids might find it hilarious) reacted to CatDog: Together Forever, a collection of five cartoons from the Nickelodeon series. At any rate, the concept is based on a sort of Pushmepullyou idea in which a cat and a dog are somehow joined together and are at eternal odds with each other. Cat is finicky and intelligent, Dog is an impulsive slob. Together, they run through adventures that range from striking it rich ("Diamond Fever") to a battle with fleas ("Flea or Die"). The cartoons have an odd, disjointed tone which suggests the creators have the attention span of Dog. The running gag for the series is "It just doesn't get any better than this." Oh yes, it does. Optional. Note: Duplicated in EP/SLP. (S. Fisher)
