Elmo offers further thought for food and fitness in this collection of three Elmo's World episodes from a more health-conscious Sesame Street. Each briskly-paced episode features delightful live-action footage of children engaging in everyday activities, animated story segments, music, and clowning (courtesy of Mr. Noodle and his brother Mr. Noodle, sublimely mimed by Bill Irwin and the late, great Michael Jeter). "Food" promotes a healthy diet that includes fruits and vegetables (and pizza???--one of these things is not like the others!). "Water" is a refreshing look at the many roles water plays in our lives, from drinking to swimming. "Exercise" encourages an active hopping, cycling, playground-romping lifestyle. Through it all, Elmo is, as ever, cheerful and encouraging, while talking Muppet foodstuffs, imagination reveries, and join-in dances help to make this visit to Elmo's World a solid reinforcement of basic health concepts introduced in Happy Healthy Monsters (VL-5/05).
