First off, I've got to dock the makers of this video for not mentioning the Bremerton to Seattle Trans-Pacific Puget Sound ferry run. That minor quibble aside, the program was entertaining and I learned some interesting things. Currently there are about 300 ferries in operation in the U.S. and amazingly enough some of those even run on time. As a school assignment, Anna Marie and her mother board the Cedar Island Ferry that sails in North Carolina's Outer Banks to find out about ferry boats as transportation. They meet the captain, tour the huge engine room, and discover tons of facts about the history of the ferry boat in America. The production qualities are top drawer and the pacing clips along at just the right speed for ages 6-12. Highly recommended. Aud: E, I, P. (N. Plympton)
