Although I’m not exactly sure what it is that adult host Marie Laure is saying in this addition to the Whistlefritz language immersion series, she’s charming in any language. Centering around preparations for animated mouse mascot Fritzi’s birthday, L’anniversaire de Fritzi combines Laure’s conversational onscreen commentary with animated segments, as well as clips of real-life kids playing and repeating along. Young viewers will learn French words and phrases describing balloons, primary colors, cake (a family makes one together backed by a song), gifts (including toys and books), and more. Designed for ages 2-7, the program includes a parent/teacher translation guide. Recommended.
