French for Kids: On Va Jouer

The title of this latest language immersion program in the titular series (see review of French for Kids: Dedans et Dehors in VL-3/14) translates to “Let's Play.” Fluent French host Marie talks directly to viewers in conversational vignettes that include repetition (often greeting viewers with “Coucou!” or “Hi there!”), jokes (such as putting the wrong articles of clothing on her head to illustrate the right words), and songs (including the classic “La Tête, Les Épaules,” i.e., “Head, Shoulders, Knees and Toes”).
