Stars: (voices) Ed Asner, Phyllis Diller, Carol Channing, Dom DeLuise, Zsa Zsa Gabor, Sally Kellerman, Tracey Ullman, Malcolm McDowell, Irene Cara. A bland sequel to Walt Disney's animated classic Snow White & the Seven Dwarfs, this Saturday morning cartoon-like animated tale has Snow White losing her hubby to the evil Lord Maliss--a wimp compared to Disney's archvillains--and enlisting the aid of the Seven Dwarfelles to storm Maliss' castle. It's strictly formula, and even the comic relief supplied by Ed Asner as an owl who wants to be bad, and Phyllis Diller as Mother Nature, the beneficent force who grants the Dwarfelle's their superpowers, can't raise this above the level of so-so tyke fare. Making less than $5 million at the boxoffice, Happily Ever After was rightfully buried by its far superior predecessor Snow White on its umpty-umpth re-release. Audience: Small kids who are quite used to being fed sugary, totally unchallenging stories on the electronic babysitter.
