How Do Dinosaurs Go to School?

Author Jane Yolen and illustrator Mark Teague's How Do Dinosaurs … books are near-classics, with their bright colors, vivid shapes, and puckishly rhymed descriptions and advice (see reviews of How Do Dinosaurs Eat Their Food? [VL-3/08] and How Do Dinosaurs Say Good Night? [VL-11/02]). This adaptation of the titular 2007 picture book finds the gigantic reptiles behaving both badly and well throughout the day—in the carpool or on the school bus, in the classroom, in the schoolyard, and on their way home. The dino who loses a tooth in class will no doubt bring chuckles of recognition to both adults and kids. Narrated by Yolen, with Jon Carroll providing an unobtrusive but effective soundtrack, DVD extras include optional read-along subtitles, and an author interview. Recommended. Aud: K, E, P. (G.A.
