How'd They Build That? Fire Truck

Part of the new series How'd They Build That?—one of the latest entries in the hugely popular children's video genre of working-vehicles-related documentaries on fire engines, trains, cars, trucks, and planes—Fire Truck takes a high-definition look at the Seagrave Fire Apparatus Company, which designs and custom-makes a variety of fire engines and trucks. Although computers are used to create 3-D blueprints, vehicles are hand-built to each fire department's own specifications. Viewers will see how all of the components—ladders, hoses, safety features, etc.—are carefully integrated, giving kids a real appreciation for the sophisticated rigs they see roaring down the street. Sprinkled throughout the program are “Fun Facts” (while the Seagrave Company has 125 colors in its paint library, 92 are variations of red!). Other new titles available in the How'd They Build That? series include Big Truck, Concrete Truck, and School Bus.
