Former heavyweight boxing champion cum grill salesman turned children's author George Foreman also narrates this iconographic-animated adaptation of his and coauthor Fran Manushkin's 2005 picture book, featuring illustrations by Whitney Martin and rollicking music by Eric Miller. The story revolves around “Big George's” birthday party, and his five sons' (miraculously, all named George) excitement about preparations: one George makes the cake, another vacuums the house, still another decorates, while the fourth readies the baby named—you guessed it—George. The excitement quotient is upped when a couple of surprise packages are delivered (“‘It's for George,' said George”). Silly, simple, and fun, this brief family sketch (Foreman really does have five sons named George) geared towards ages 4-8 is recommended. Aud: K, E, P. (J. Williams-Wood)
