Max & Ruby: Everybunny Loves Winter!

Based on the stories by author-illustrator Rosemary Wells, this seasonally-themed compilation features 12 tales starring seven-year-old Ruby and her little brother Max. The sibling bunnies enjoy various wintery adventures in stories such as “Ruby's Snowbunny,” in which Ruby bosses Max into helping her make a snow creature when he'd rather sled and play, and “Ruby's Snowflake,” centering on overbearing Ruby's obsession with making perfectly symmetrical cookies, despite Max's accidental disruptions. In “Max's Christmas Passed,” the little guy doesn't want the holiday excitement to end, and Ruby attempts to cheer him up, and “Max's New Year” features the kids and their grandma celebrating the festivities with traditions including special snacks, charades, and burping, as well as learning about reading the clock, so as to know when it's time to break out the noisemakers. Also including “Ruby's Gingerbread House,” “Max's Big Kick,” and “Ruby's Penny Carnival,” among others, this collection from the simple Nickelodeon-aired show, popular with the preschool crowd, is recommended.
