Nick Jr. staple Little Bill celebrates holiday happenings in this festive collection of episodes from the popular series created by Bill Cosby. The title segment finds our diminutive hero in anguish on Christmas Eve because his beloved great-granny's ("Alice the Great") flight is stuck in Cincinnati snow. Gloomy and loathe to partake in rituals traditionally shared with his grandmother, Little Bill only perks up at the idea to write to Santa to ask him to bring her home in time. In the other two episodes, "Summertime in the Wintertime" finds Bill and his siblings beating the blizzard blues by putting together an imaginative summer "show" for their parents, while in "Snow Racer," Bill and a buddy create a make-believe racecar that begins to thaw in the sun, launching the pair into an amusing struggle to keep their coupe cool and intact. Featuring the voice talents of Phylicia Rashad, Ruby Dee, and Gregory Hines, this endearing and charming holiday-themed entry is warmly recommended. Aud: P. (J. Williams)
