Corny protagonist P. King is the central character of this Chinese-American animated series airing stateside on Disney Junior. Featuring seven two-part episodes, Seize the Day kicks off with “Wombat's Big Surprise,” in which duck P. King and pig friend Chumpkins inadvertently hurt Wombat's (a….wombat) feelings when they avoid her while getting together a birthday party. “A Hill with a View” finds P. King swooning over a majestic view of Fishy Falls and Cow Canyon and getting his friends to help him relocate (“Anybody thirsty?” he asks, after damaging a fire hydrant with a crane). Also including “Speed King Duckling / P. King's Cool Castle,” “Fowl Fashion / A Day with Panda,” and “The Tetherball King / P. King's Cookie Farm,” among others, this silly series is fairly standard and uninspired cartoon fare that failed to deliver on the box art promise of “quacking [me] up.” Optional. Aud: P. (J. Williams-Wood)
