Featuring vividly-costumed Day-Glo dog band members RAGGS, Trilby, Pido, B-Max and Razzles, this “jing-a-licious” holiday program follows the canines on a snowy adventure set in the Rockies of Telluride, CO. Preparing for Christmas with cookies, decorations, and presents, the gang gets a surprise phone call asking them to fill in for The Dog Biscuits at a school concert/street party gig in the mountains. With the assurance that they'll be home by Christmas Eve, RAGGS and crew load up their bus and head for the hills, ready for skiing, tobogganing, and playing for a keyed-up elementary-age audience, who don red noses during the band's R&B rendition of “Rudolph the Red-Nosed Reindeer.” After signing autographs, playing at the street bash, and making some new pals (a contrived subplot has Trilby befriending and selflessly giving a scarf to Andi, a young girl whose dad's company is doing badly this year), the gang is distraught when they realize that Pido has stopped up the van (by warming up a sandwich) and that they're stranded! Making the best of their situation, the band invites kids and parents to a party in the lodge lobby, distributes presents, enjoys more songs (“We Wish You a Merry Christmas,” “Up on the House Top”), and learns that they can make merriment anywhere! Also including tunes such as “The Twelve Days of Christmas,” “Joy to the World,” and a rap-style version of “Frosty the ‘Sno-Man',” the DVD extras on this festive program include brief “Meet the Band” featurettes and four sing-along songs.
