This Halloween special boasts three episodes featuring Tommy, Chuckie and the rest of the Nickelodeon hit Rugrats gang as they spook, scare, and scheme themselves into their customary tizzies. In "Curse of the Werewuff," an anxious Chuckie is mislead by the conniving Anjelica, who tells the babies they'll transform into their costumes' characters on the day after Halloween. Tommy likes being a vampire, and Phil and Lil can accept being bats (and eating bugs), but Chuckie is none too sure about becoming a werewolf, so Anjelica offers to change him back--for a price. In "Ghost Story," the gang gathers around a battery-operated indoor campfire to take turns continuing a terrifying tale that features an appearance by creepy characters from the now-defunct Nickelodeon series Ahh! Real Monsters!; and "Sleep Trouble" finds Tommy and Chuckie grappling with "the Sandyman," who they fear has more in store for them than simply helping them fall asleep. Sure to appeal to pint-sized fans, this is amiably recommended. Aud: P. (J. Williams)
