Always cheerful Sesame Street superstar Elmo turns up the charm in this toe-tapping and heartwarming program focusing on feelings. Weighed down by craft supplies, Elmo starts working on making a special card for someone he loves, and—with the help of guitar-playing bilingual Muppet pal Rosita—talks about expressing feelings through his art project. The topics of love and other emotions are explored here with characteristically excellent production values and sound effects, as well as live-action clips (including Elmo's interaction with a Beluga whale named Winston, and real-life kids signing “I love you”), animated segments (with an adorable piece in which a mother and child draw condensation pictures for each other on a window), vignettes of Muppet regulars such as Cookie Monster and Super Grover, and music, including songs featuring Trisha Yearwood, John Legend, and R.E.M. (in a fun “Furry Happy Monsters” adaptation of their hit “Shiny Happy People”). Also featuring Spanish subtitles, this enjoyable addition to the popular series is highly recommended. Editor's Choice.
