Another award-winning television series from Bullfrog, this one features noted musicians for children: Sharon, Lois, and Bram. The frame device uses an elephant punching up different subjects on the computer...and where there's a subject, there's a song. Bram leads children in a wonderful Scottish ballad, "Three Crows"; guest Bob Schneider sings about raindrops and doing nothing; and Eric Nagler pulls out his Jews-harp for a stirring rendition of the "Bell Cow Song". In addition to the songs, S, L & B spend some time jumping rope. The grand finale has the trio in concert doing a takeoff on the "Eensy, Weensy Spider", who becomes--with appropriate imaginary physical metamorphosis--the "Big Fat Spider", and then the "Teensy, Weensy Spider". The show is both fun and clever, and unlike many made-for-home-video live action productions, it doesn't have that overproduced let's-sell-a-beautiful-bauble look to it. As in the case of Owl TV, the series is highly priced. Nevertheless, it is highly recommended for school and larger public libraries. (See OWL TV for availability.)
