Theodor S. Geisel, a.k.a. Dr. Seuss, is no stranger to the clever jingle, having written some catchy anti-Japanese propaganda during WWII. Fortunately, he is much better known as the prolific author of some of the wittiest children's picture books of the past three decades. These video adaptations use a host of limited animation techniques, and a wide range of voices to bring these Dr. Seuss classics to life. Each titles contains three full-length beginner book adaptations. The Cat in the Hat Comes Back has the infamous feline causing havoc for Sally and her brother when he takes a bath and leaves a pink ring in the bathtub and then removes it (all over the house). The two other tales are: There's a Wocket in My Pocket, a clever bestiary of imaginary household pets and pests, and Fox in Socks, a series of architecturally stunning-and funny-tongue twisters. Dr. Seuss's ABC features the imaginative title rendition of the letters of the alphabet (M: "Many munching mice are making midnight music by the moonlight"), as well as I Can Read With My Eyes Shut! and Mr. Brown Can Moo! Can You? Hop on Pop is an excellent introduction to simple words set to rhyme (and a heck of a lot more fun and interesting than Dick, Jane, and Spot), which also contains Marvin K Mooney Will You Please Go Now!, in which Marvin is asked to beat feet in a number of innovative and humorous ways, and Oh Say Can You Say?, another one of the Seuss collections of mind-boggling tongue twisters. One Fish Two Fish Red Fish Blue Fish shows young viewers humorous sights, while teaching them about colors and numbers. The other two stories are: Oh, the Thinks You Can Think!, which is yet more creative Seussfoolery with words and ideas, and The Foot Book, which teaches young viewers word relationships under the guise of a wacky podiatrist's dictionary.
