Continuing the adventures of 10-year-old Timmy Turner and his fairy godparents Cosmo and Wanda, this musical special follows the denizens of Dimmsdale on a wacky, song-and-dance-filled summertime escapade. Timmy and his pals think the blessed end of school means freedom, beach trips, and mall excursions, but when the town's parents send all the kids to Flappy Bob's excruciatingly boring and rigid Camp Learn-a-torium, the ‘tweens revolt, and use fairy power to take over. The resulting hysteria leaves just enough of a loophole for two drab pixies (both distinctly voiced by Ben Stein) to put their 37-year-old plan to take over Fairy World (home of all fairies) into effect. Backed by 11 buoyant, spirited music tracks with contemporary rock and rap bits and witty lyrics--“We're pixies…strong like Bill Bixby” (Method Man and Redman are featured as the “rapping” voices of the pixies)--the story follows the pixies as they trick Flappy Bob and invade Fairy World, after which Timmy and Flappy Bob combine forces to turn everything back to normal. Kid-friendly frenetic and often hilarious (although not everyone will chortle over the following: "If this place were any less fun, it would need a librarian!”), bonus features on the DVD include two additional episodes, the Fairly OddParents on MTV's TRL, and two “Oh Yeah!” shorts (the origins of The Fairly OddParent series).
