Topics covered include what to expect, understanding directions, how to mark bubbles and draw circles, time management, guessing strategies, and even the importance of a good night's sleep and a good meal the night before. The culmination of information that was spread out over the three previous titles in the series (The Night Before a Test, Learning to Mark a Test and Why We Take Tests, series price: $139.95), Hubert Takes a Test is basically a review and application of principles presented earlier. The combination of live-action and 2-D animation isn't terribly impressive, frankly, but the sheer practicality of these videos makes them a good tool in early elementary classrooms. The included curriculum materials provide fun activities and worksheets for practice of acquired skills, and although the videos are best viewed as a series, this one could be used alone.
