The Wiggles: Whoo Hoo! Wiggly Gremlins!

Children's entertainers The Wiggles encounter a pair of unruly gremlins Down Under: one gremlin meddles with the Big Red Car, so Anthony, Jeff, Greg, and Murray end up late for the show at Network Wiggles, where bumbling Captain Feathersword is fighting problems caused by the other little monster (lights flicking on and off, tangled cords, etc.). Because the gremlins--who are not the least bit like Joe Dante's scary critters, but rather mischievous Santa's elves-type characters--are messing around behind-the-scenes, young viewers will see quite a bit about television production fundamentals such as building sets, using a variety of camera shots, and taking cues from the director. Eventually, the upbeat quartet is ready to put on a wiggly ol' show, and the songs featured here include “Camera One” (sample funny lyric: “Camera three, it's not the time to do a pirate jig”), “Bit by Bit (We're Building a Set),” “Vegetable Soup,” “Hats,” “Music with Murray,” and “Lights, Camera, Action, Wiggles!” Featuring familiar gags (a sleepy Jeff, a hungry Anthony), colorful sets and dancers, and fun tunes, this latest addition to The Wiggles library is recommended.
