Aimed at elementary school children, and designed to teach them positive actions they can take when life disappoints them, When Things Don't Go My Way features three vignettes in which an older student offers advice to younger children on improving their situations. The first issue deals with not living up to an agreement; the second, with what to do when a friend's behavior changes and you feel left out; and the final segment tackles the disappointment of not getting a wished for birthday present. While the lessons presented are admirable, the production values leave a lot to be desired. It is difficult to hear, the actors are stiff and obviously reading cue cards, and the camera work is unsteady. Not recommended. Aud: E. (C. Dratch-Kovler)
