Filmmaker and art photographer William Wegman dresses up his dogs in wigs and clothes in this holiday program that celebrates the 12 days before Christmas. Wegman also narrates the festive activities of the—in my opinion—initially creepy Weimaraner “family”: Fay, Chundo, Crooky, and Batty (sporting human hands and disproportionate bodies), and their dog Buster. On day one Fay sends Chundo out to find the right tree for the family; day two features housecleaning and a paper snowflake craft segment; day five includes a Santa art project; day seven finds the family making sugarplum pudding and popcorn; etc. From decorating to tobogganing to gift-wrapping, Fay and the family are having fun and keeping busy in preparation for the holiday, and while Wegman's commentary is a bit on the flighty side, the target audience (ages 3 and up) will likely find Fay's Twelve Days of Christmas to be an entertaining festive offering. Recommended, overall. Aud: P. (J. Williams-Wood)
