Wondrous Myths and Legends: Discovery

Brother and sister Nick and Lisa, accompanied by their dog Zeus, discover a time travel portal and embark on a mission to explore the world's great myths and legends in this 2-episode animated adventure. Fast-paced and laced with snappy dialogue, the opener, "The Mystery of the Loch Ness Monster," finds the trio transported to 1933 Scotland where they initially join in a hunt for the Loch Ness Monster, then wind up rescuing the creature and its baby from the hunters. In the second episode, "The Valor of St. George, the Dragonslayer," they land in a medieval castle under attack by a flying dragon, where Nick is mistaken for "a great warrior come to slay the dragon." A comedy of errors follows as he attempts to battle the beast until the real knight takes over. A pleasantly entertaining and very inexpensive program, this is recommended.
