This unremarkable feature film is basically the flip side of Fatal Attraction (an equally unremarkable feature film, which is basically a remake of Play Misty for Me, which isn't half bad...) Miles O'Keefe, best known as the don't-talk-just-flex lead in the abominable remake Tarzan, the Ape Man, plays a hitchhiker who thumbs his way into a one night stand with career woman Kim Delaney. Unfortunately, Miles is not content with the freebie. He informs Kim that "when you make love with someone, it's forever," leaving the audience to ponder exactly what the "it" in this strange grammatical construction stands for. The duration of the film is devoted to a couple of dead bodies and the gradual building of the suspicion that Kim's husband, played by Timothy Bottoms, is the killer. He isn't of course. The real killer is an ozone case whose motive is basically the joy of slice 'n dice. Sherlock Holmes, opiumed to the gills, wouldn't have had a clue. It's a shame that MGM/UA, with its honor roll of great films, has been reduced to trotting out garbage like this as their lead video release. Not recommended. (Available from most distributors.)
