Comedian Brian Regan delivers a so-so standup performance at Radio City Music Hall, with too many weak jokes along with observations of the world that are less than compelling. Highlights of his act include gags about impatient New Yorkers repeatedly pressing the close-door button in elevators, and wishing that the pope would leave their city. He also talks about the problem of doctors running late for appointments (“they better be standing in a pool of blood”), wonders why the “catch of the day” in restaurants is always fish (“don't they have to catch all the animals?”), and recalls breaking up with a girlfriend over the relative meaning of “this exit” and “next exit” while navigating on the freeway. Regan also skewers pretentious people who say “catsup” instead of “ketchup,” and tells a halfway amusing tale about working as a busboy and being ordered by his boss not to talk with customers.
