This documentary discusses the role of several computer-aided devices which have changed modern medicine. The majority of the film discusses the benefits of CAT scanners and similar instruments in diagnosing ailments which would otherwise require exploratory surgery to discover. The newest methods are less invasive; and some no longer even require X-rays to form an interior image of the anatomy. Nuclear medicine is also covered. This program is rather short, but certainly a competent treatment of the subject. Recommended for appropriate collections. (Library price: $22.95 plus shipping; $100 with public performance rights.
