Contract Employees--Six New Strategies To Increase Your Profits Now!

Ralph Palmen, organizer of Express Personnel Services, founder of the Palmen Institute and author of Interview Smart, Hire Right, presents his views on the changing work force for the next decade and beyond. Beginning with a short biosketch, Palmen goes on to contrast the past, present, and future labor markets, showing with tables and graphics that the latter will comprise 50% core employees and 50% contract labor. He defines six hiring strategies for employers to take advantage of this burgeoning contract market. In sequence, he discusses the employer/employee advantages and disadvantages of each strategy: flexible staffing, probationary hiring, leasing employees, facilities staffing, outsourcing, and contracted executives. There is much good information in this program for employers and future employees to contemplate.
