The film From Dusk 'Til Dawn, written by and co-starring Quentin Tarantino and directed by Desperado wonderkid Robert Rodriguez, is a certified cult classic, a perennial party-hearty video rental. But four years is a long time to wait for a documentary about the film's chaotic production, especially one as incompetent and ineptly made as Full Tilt Boogie. When director Sarah Kelly isn't ripping off This is Spinal Tap (a staged opening sequence in which George Clooney and Tarantino get "lost" on the way to the set) or Roger and Me (she flies to Miami to confront the labor organizer threatening to strike the non-union "Dusk" set), she is wasting valuable screen time on unenlightening interviews with assistant directors, craft service personnel, and grips ("it's a very demanding job"). Clooney comes off as down-to-earth, Juliette Lewis as a flake, and Tarantino as an arrogant and egomaniacal jerk. Not only does this fail as a vanity project, we never even learn which lucky guy the women crewmembers crowned the winner in their "Best Butt" contest. Not recommended. (K. Lee Benson)
