Kyiv, for those of you who learn geography from fancy restaurant menus, is actually Kiev, capital of the Ukraine, and while it may indeed be as glorious as the chicken it is named after, I am not at all convinced of this after watching this old fashioned travel tape. Seemingly scripted right out of the almanac, filmed in not so glorious tripod-free video, narrated in a school marmish tone with all the charm and sincerity of a monotonous sociology lecture ("other noteworthy arch structures or monuments of Kiev are..." followed by list) and scored by someone who actually seeks out and enjoys elevator music, Glorious Kyiv occasionally made me feel that I was watching turkey Kiev being served before my very eyes. A clunker from start to finish, this is nyet recommended. Aud: P. (R. Ray)
