Healing for a Broken World

Steve Monsma, author of Healing for a Broken World: Christian Perspectives on Public Policy, serves as the narrator for this Scripture-based approach to social responsibility. Although our opinions today tend to be shaped by personal backgrounds and modern ideologies, Healing for a Broken World, which is divided into 12 segments, argues that various biblical principles relating to justice and solidarity can be applied to specific key policy areas such as poverty, human rights, war, and terrorism. Here, a group of young adults share their views on each of these issues, followed by scholarly commentary laced with well-chosen quotations from diverse but credible sources (including G.K. Chesterton, Bono, Rick Warren, John Paul II, and Alexander Solzhenitsyn, among others). Each segment ends with onscreen open-ended questions that will provoke reflection and discussion.
