A pleasant guide to nine lighthouses on the rugged Oregon coast--from Cape Blanco to Tillamook Rock--Lighthouses of the Oregon Coast offers a visual tour and brief history of each site. Lighthouse buffs will appreciate the technical details provided on the beacons and lenses (most French-made Fresnel lenses), while non-buffs will enjoy the story behind each building. Sporting good photography and informative (if slightly pretentious-sounding) narration, the program's destinations include Cape Arago, Heceta Head, Yaquina Head, and Cape Meares. While a visual map of the lighthouse sites would have been useful for viewers unfamiliar with the Oregon coast, this is still recommended for larger travel and regional collections. Aud: P. (S.
