Is the Internet the singles bar of the new century, bringing together people based on their minds and not their bodies? Or is it, as one person puts it in this video, the crack cocaine of sex addiction? Hyperbole aside, many people are drawn to the on-line experience as a way to reach out and touch…uh…themselves and others and perhaps meet the person of their dreams. Sometimes, happy marriages are the result; other times, extra-marital online activity destroys relationships. At worst, the Internet also attracts predators and stalkers of all sorts. Those, in a nutshell, are the findings of this episode from A&E's Love Chronicles series. Through first-person interviews, the good, bad, and ugly of online relationships are explored and common sense advice is offered (it might not be a good idea to immediately rush into marriage with someone you met online, for instance, but rather consider hiring a private eye to check out your prospective Mr./Ms. Right). Although this video is more sensational spectacle than anything else, the hot topic will probably drive it off the shelves. Optional. Aud: P. (C. Block)
