This docudrama explores a purportedly recurring phenomenon in the Muslim world in which individuals with no prior knowledge of Christianity or contact with Christians are converted as a result of a dream or vision of Jesus Christ. More Than Dreams presents the stories of five subjects: Khalil, an Egyptian terrorist; Mohammed, a herdsman and Islamic scholar from Nigeria; Dini, an Indonesian teenager; Khosrow, an Iranian suffering from depression; and Ali, an abusive alcoholic from Turkey. Each segment begins with the claim that while certain details have been altered for the sake of dramatization, the story has been carefully researched for authenticity. In each account, an action-packed opening sequence is followed by a flashback history narrated by the convert in what appears to be an onsite location, after which the scene shifts to a candlelit studio where a native-garbed person recaps the narrative and exhorts the viewer to join him in prayer accepting Jesus as his/her savior. Even though various cultures do place significant importance on dreams, this program provides no documentation for any of its claims, nor are credits provided to back up any of the stories. Not recommended. Aud: P. (J. Reed)
