Filmed at the Teatro Scientifico in Mantua (where Mozart played his first Italian concert), these lovely quintets (recorded in digital stereo) feature Salvatore Accardo on violin, accompanied by another violin, two violas, and a cello. Quintet in A Major, a beautiful piece, features a clarinet in place of the second viola. While the visuals are nothing to write home about (nobody smashes their violins on stage, etc.), the music is exquisite, and the sound reproduction on both videos is crystal clear. Recommended.
