Natural Born Winners compares various aspects of physical prowess found in humans, such as strength, speed, stamina and agility, with exceptional counterparts found in the animal kingdom. Although the cinematography and computer animation are interesting, the comparisons are somewhat weak and the narration is liable to lose younger viewers. Rather than emphasizing the comparative/competitive aspect between humans and animals, it would have been wiser (and more useful) had the writers focused on the strengths of the various critters, and pointed out how these attributes are used to survive. Still, the visuals here are better than average and a wide variety of animals are featured in their natural habitat, making this a strong optional purchase. (L. Stevens)

This change allows our reviewers to have a wider range of critical viewpoints, as well as to synchronize with Google’s rating structure. This change affects all reviews from March 2022 onwards. All reviews from before this period will still retain their original rating. Future film submissions will be considered our new 1-5 star criteria.
