The first indication of the quality of this production comes with a comparison of the box subtitle, Prince Charming, with the subtitle actually on the video, Prince of Hearts. Both are airy little pronouncements meant to charm and possibly infatuate. Perhaps the producers couldn't be bothered with reconciling the titles, creating a slapdash feel that also pervades the journalistic and historical aspects of the video's content. Suffice to say, this little production provides irrefutable proof, if it's needed, that British schoolgirls find Prince William very charming and many--if not most of them--would like to win his heart. Beyond that, well, did I mention his winsome good looks? No, I probably didn't have to. Valuable mainly as a pop cultural artifact pertaining to the passions of the pubescent portion of the royal-watcher set, this video confection is not recommended, but at that price and with the mania for cute royals showing no sign of abating, it will probably attract an audience. The choice is yours; you've been warned. Aud: P. (M. Tribby)
