Volume two, Islam, examines the birth of Islam through the teachings of the prophet Mohammad, serves up a very brief historical overview of the spread of Islam, and looks at some of the beliefs and practices of modern day Muslims. Volume three, Buddhism and the Dalai Lama, interweaves the origins and philosophies of Buddha and Buddhism with the interpretations and teachings of the Dalai Lama, the exiled religious and political leader of Chinese-occupied Tibet.
