Taped before a live audience at Tivoli Concert Hall in Copenhagen, singer Stig Rossen, lavishly accompanied by the Danish Radio Concert Orchestra, sings 26 well-chosen songs ranging from light pop to musical theater in this PBS-aired May 2004 concert. With a stirring, warm voice that can handle the most delicate of emotions as well as really belt out a pop standard, Rossen delights the crowd with the powerful "This Is the Moment," the prayerful "Ordinary Miracles," and covers of Eric Clapton's "Change the World" and Don McLean's "Vincent" (which Rossen introduces as the song he most wishes he had written). Paying homage to Tom Jones—a major influence—Rossen performs "(It Looks Like) I'll Never Fall in Love Again" and cracks up the audience with a take on "I Feel Pretty" as Jones might have sung it. DVD extras include an interview with Rossen. Highly recommended. Aud: P. (T. Keogh)
