Komodo dragons just don't play by the rules: first off, they're lizards, not dragons; but beyond this flagrant abuse of nomenclature, they smell with their tongues. These interesting tidbits are among a bevy of cool factoids and beautiful cinematography in the highly acclaimed work of Bill Burrud. In this compilation of three tapes, drawn from footage that has held up remarkably well for being 20-years-old, viewers will see, and more importantly, really learn about The Secret World of Reptiles, American wildlife in The Great American Wilderness, and the Creatures of the Amazon. The frequent title cards to denote commercial breaks are a little annoying, but the programs themselves are the work of a man whose name is legend in the field of shooting nature documentaries.
