Shot on digital video, Joseph Bullman's fascinating documentary chronicles Colin Tennant's--also known as Lord Glenconner, a minor member of the British aristocracy--triumphant years as owner and circus master of the Caribbean island Mustique. A wild, rustic place, Mustique--which Tennant purchased for peanuts in 1956--was a playground for the rich and famous in its heyday, and Tennant happily reminisces about such repeat clients as Mick Jagger, David Bowie, and Princess Margaret. But--to make a long story short--Tennant eventually lost his shirt and control of Mustique, and this interesting portrait finds him both reflective and bitterly disappointed in his fate. Recommended.
