It could very well be that just one of the Corvettes shown in this film cost more than the entire video production. Anyone with a good camcorder could have done almost as well, and hopefully they would have left out the hokey Elvis impersonator. The National Corvette Museum is located in Bowling Green, Kentucky, right next to the GM assembly plant that builds what is touted as 'America's only sports car.' Certainly anyone with a passion for 'Vette's (remember Sam Malone's love for them on Cheers?) will want to visit this museum and the actual displays are nicely done. Corvettes that have served as pace cars at the Indy 500, experimental models, and exquisitely restored examples are here for car buffs of all ages to enjoy, but the video itself is a pedestrian effort, full of whirly graphics, annoying background country music, and the aforementioned Elvis clone. Public libraries should consider purchasing this only if there is an extensive need for automotive history materials. Aud: P. (J. Carlson)
