For Cosmopolitan and Vogue addicts, this line of fashion series videos is probably just what the tailor ordered. Both issues that we sampled were from the low-content, high-Blitz factor school of video. In Videofashion Monthly, the theme was "Fashion Frivolity", with the focus on flower prints cropping up on everything from hats and gowns to myriad accessories. Interviews with fashion kings like Moschino (the "bad boy of Italian fashion") revealed such earthshaking pronouncements as "fashion is short, long, and medium." Whether or not he was joking, the statement is characteristic of the level of conversation put forth by the fashion designers in both programs. In the second program, Videofashion News, the focus is on "Italian Style", and features the latest designs from Gianni Versace, Laura Biagiotti, the Missoni's, and others. Basically, the word is (but won't be by the time you read this) pants and small jackets for what it's worth. For patrons in small communities, this would be the equivalent of the J. C. Penney's Christmas catalog- a sort of wish list. In the big cities, though, there are probably people who actually do wear imitation fruit bowls on their heads.
