We Got Next: The Story of the WNBA'S Inaugural Season

The title of this program isn't explained on the video, but if you've ever played basketball and happen to be a girl, you may remember the long wait for the court while the boys played--usually, if you called ‘next', you could have the court when they were done...generally after dark. Well, the wait is finally over for the talented young women here. Playing professional B-ball on teams sporting names such as the Comets, the Sparks, Liberty, Sting and the Rockers, these players kick butt and take names. Game highlights from the first tip-off to the final winning basket during the play-off championship game; newsreel footage; coach, team and fan interviews and profiles of individual star players lead viewers through the birth of this extraordinary new division in the National Basketball Association family.
