A young woman goes to a party, waves hello to a few people playing vodka pong, heads back out, and crashes her car. She wakes up in the hospital with amnesia and the need to reconstruct who she is and who her boyfriend is. Trouble is, she gets flashes of disturbing images and feelings while trying to recuperate.
Why are they so often tied in with music? Who's the sinister presence lurking in the background, the one she can't quite name.
The film, sadly, never percolates the heated menace needed for this scenario, and lies tepid. Newcomer Nicole Souza makes the best of it, though, giving strength, warmth, resilience, and even spirituality, to her struggling protagonist.
