A Song For Us follows a British folk singer, Alice, (Lisa Kovack), and her lover, Tom (Keith McKie). It's the story of finding each other and becoming a young singing duo and wanting to create change with peace and love during the time of the Vietnam War.
Years later, Alice connects with her long-lost lover, a free-spirited hippie, and an adrift broken wanderer. She's compelled to help him and uncovers a revelation about themselves that was there all along but was hidden.
The music is absolutely light, breezy, and gorgeous. The original song, A Song For Us the namesake of the film takes the audience back to a time when the possibilities were endless and fighting for freedom. Today, freedom is still important and it's necessary to protect it.
This entertaining film is recommended for college students and educators who want to show the value of creating change in our society or anyone that sincerely appreciates the folk music of that era. A pleasure to watch and nicely produced and edited.
