Alex Borstein: Drop Dead Gorgeous in a Down-to-Earth Bombshell Sort of Way

Former MadTV star Alex Borstein is the voice of Family Guy mom Lois, but even the carefully calculated outlandishness of that popular animated series won't prepare viewers for the wickedly sarcastic and bitter comedy Borstein dishes out as herself. Adopting a smart and tart feminist tone, Borstein's delicious ranting takes on Hollywood's disdain for women, i.e., the constraining boxes the industry tries to force half the human race into...too often succeeding. But Borstein—hoorah!—remains a free spirit and a sharp and funny big mouth throughout this hour-plus standup routine, hitting her targets smack on with every verbal shot.
