Angus

Part Lucas, part Carrie, part Revenge of the Nerds, this winning high school comedy stars Charlie Talbert as Angus, who is smart, likable, and a heavyweight football player. It's off the field where he fumbles, particularly where his lifelong love, Melissa (Jurassic Park's Arianna Richards) is concerned. Angus's tormentor, the school's star quarterback, arranges for Angus to be selected King of the Winter Ball, with Melissa as his queen. Will Angus find the courage to attend? Will pretty, popular Melissa reveal herself to be just as insecure as Angus? Will Angus finally publicly humiliate his rival? Not at my high school, but at least in the movies, dreams can come true.
