Filmed in 1993, and starring Kristin Scott Thomas (The English Patient), this episodic mini-series, based on the novel by Marcelle Bernstain, tells the story of a nun who must choose between the secluded life of the convent or life on the ‘outside' and her own identity. Predictable but nevertheless pleasant, viewers should enjoy the performance of Thomas as she struggles with trials and tribulation. Recommended. Aud: P. (N. Plympton)[DVD Review—Oct. 16, 2007—Questar, 2 discs, 300 min., not rated, $29.99—Making its first appearance on DVD, 1993's Body & Soul features an unremarkable transfer and no DVD extras. Bottom line: a solid miniseries that should still do well in larger TV on DVD collections.]
