Camping Trip is one of the COVID-19 babies in the film scene written by Leonardo Fuica and directed by him and Demian Fuica. Filmed in Quebec, Canada, Camping Trip follows the story of a couple who go on a camping trip with their friends and enjoy some freedom of nature alone—or so they think. In the same woods are two goons with evil motives. They go rogue on the campers, turning their fun-filled vacation into horror and testing their loyalty.
The pair of couples drive into the woods, hire a canoe, and set up a camp on the banks of the lake. The movie introduces the audience to a new and suspicious character who drives a car and pulls by the woods, presumably in the same location as Enzo and his friends, takes a couple of photos of something on the passenger seat, and wears his mask before entering the woods with a bag.
What happens next catches Enzo, his wife, and his friends by surprise. Their loyalty is tested as everyone tries to survive. Bonds are broken, and friends turn to foes in their quest to come out of the woods alive.
Unlike most cursory horror films, Camping Trip fleshes out its characters, giving them depth and familiarizing you with everyone. It doesn’t slow down, leaving you on edge throughout. This thrilling film would make a great addition to your library collection.
