According to the press release, "Sakura Kinomoto has finally captured and converted all the Clow Cards into Sakura Cards and now...someone or something is stealing them away and is erasing vast parts of the town including the people she cares about!" I'm not sure I could explain the plot of this trippy anime fantasy--a follow-up to the TV series based on the original manga by CLAMP--under threat of torture. Those unfamiliar with the Sakura saga will meet a tiny Japanese girl with requisite huge eyes bent on saving the world with the aid of a flying mini-teddy bear (or it could be a toy stuffed mouse with wings) from a lonely Void Card (the 53rd card) determined to free its 52 buddies. Got that? Available in both an extra-less version ($19.98), and a "special edition" ($29.98) with nine additional minutes, a 20-page booklet, and more (both have Japanese and English subtitled audio tracks), this rated 13-up anime is worth picking up for those collecting the series, but not recommended otherwise.
